Is my child’s bed made using safe materials?

All happybeds are manufactured to the highest quality with rigorous quality control process. Our beds are made to European standards that meet Australian quality and safety standards.


happybeds car and princess beds are made using Medical grade non-toxic, BPA-free, lead-free Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic and reinforced with CARB P2 and TSCA Title VI compliant Particle Board using vacuum forming techniques and are quality certified.


The electrical components are also designed to the highest safety standard and use low 12V AC power supply.

How do I assemble my child’s new bed?

Our beds are easy to assemble and we have put together instructions that can be found here. You will also receive an assembly guide with your product and a QR code with a link to an assembly video.


Prefer to sit back? Leave it to us! Our assembly service is available in all metro cities and some regional areas. If you live outside metro area, get in touch and we can check availability for you.

How long will the bed last my child?

Our beds are designed for your children to outgrow them – but we think they will love them so much they will try to hold onto them for years! We recommend our beds are suitable for children from 2-14 years of age. Our beds are lightweight yet durable with high impact strength and are resistant to corrosion and abrasion. Our speciality designed car beds come with a market leading 3-year warranty!

Do I need to buy guard rails for my new happybed?

Our beds are designed with smooth edged, high sides that not only look great but are also functional and act as barriers that prevent your child from rolling and keep your little one safe.

What mattress will I need?

Our range of car beds have been custom designed to suit a standard single Australian mattress of 188cm x 92 cm. Our Magnum Aero double car bed has also been custom designed to suit a standard double Australian mattress of 188cm x 138cm.


Our Bunk Beds will fit standard Australian single mattresses. The internal dimensions are 195cm x 96cm.


Our Princess Castle Bed will fit a standard Australian single mattress. The nominal mattress size is 190 x 90cm.

Do the beds have a weight limit?

Our beds can support up to 135kg.

What is the warranty on our new happybed?

We are excited to offer a market leading 3 YEAR WARRANTY against the unlikely occurring of production faults such as deformation, discolouration, or breakage on our bed frames. Understandably, the warranty does not cover improper use or cleaning.

Does our new happybed come with a mattress?

Our bed frames and mattresses are sold separately to give you the flexibility that suits your needs. We are proud to stock Australia’s best kids mattress 2021 which you can check out here.

What certification does the Eco Kids mattress have?

  • Certified Australian Made under license ID number: 6697.
  • GECA certified. The Eco Kids mattress only uses GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certified foam. The GECA label is only awarded to products that have the highest environmental credentials and represent the leading environmentally preferable options in the marketplace.
  • Dunlop foam is approved by National Asthma Council’s Sensitive Choice program.
  • The bamboo fabric and hygroflex foam are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified as free of harmful chemical substances and safe for direct contact with the skin according to strict global OEKO-TEX testing criteria.
  • The cotton fabric is certified as 100% natural and traceable cotton by Cotton Australia.

Is the Eco Kids mattress environmentally friendly?

  • The Eco Kids mattress only uses GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certified foam. The GECA label is only awarded to products that have the highest environmental credentials and represent the leading environmentally preferable options in the marketplace.
  • The Eco Kids mattress is ‘100% Vegan’ as no animal products are used in the materials or during the manufacturing process.

Does the Eco Kids mattress contain any latex or memory foam?

The Eco Kids mattress does not contain latex or memory foam.

How do I recycle packaging?

Some councils will allow “LDPE 4” in your regular plastic recycling. If yours doesn’t, you can recycle the soft plastic at any REDcycle collection point (found at most Coles and Woolies stores). Please cut the plastic into A3 size sheets before putting them in the bin.

Does the mattress contain nasty chemicals?

No, the Eco Kids mattress contains no harmful glues, bonding agents or chemicals. Our Hygroflex foam is also OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified as free of toxic chemical substances and safe for direct contact with the skin according to strict global OEKO-TEX testing criteria.

Where is the Eco Kids mattress made?

The Eco Kids mattress is made with love in Melbourne and is officially certified Australian Made.
